Life throws curveballs. Will your emergency fund survive? We run 1,000 simulated futures with random car repairs, medical bills, and job losses. Then we tell you your survival rate.
How it works: We created 1,000 imaginary versions of your future. In each one, random emergencies hit at random times — sometimes nothing happens for months, sometimes two things hit at once. We checked how many of those 1,000 futures your fund survived without going to zero. That percentage is your survival rate.
We run a Monte Carlo simulation — 1,000 independent random futures. Each month, we add your top-up savings, then roll the dice for every enabled life event. If the probability fires, a random cost within its range hits your fund. If your balance drops below zero, that simulation is a failure. The survival rate is simply: how many of the 1,000 made it through without going broke?
Event probabilities are rough annual averages converted to monthly. Real life is messier. Not financial advice.
